The Seneschal blinked slowly; the ring translated this as understanding, albeit not without a tinge of disapproval. “As you say, Lantern. We are here in regards to the-,” They said, with a screeching feedback that was either meant to indicate annoyance or an encroaching panic attack- “D’th’yal’yan’tha’stall-Eir’gotuah-si of this place.”
[SECOND OF HALF], the ring translates. [denoting caretaker, Watcher, the One Who Remains].”
“Oh,” Hal said. Then, in a brilliant moment of word association, stepped aside to motion to Batman with one hand. “He’ll be your guy.”
He watched as, immediately, the envoy turned to Batman and fell to their knees in supplication.
(Or; A mistranslation during hostile negotiations begins with Batman being dubbed the Caretaker of Earth and ends exactly as you'd expect it to.)

Dent shifts forward, resting his elbows on his knees. He’s every bit as handsome as the magazines say, with a clean-cut grace and an All-American smile. But he’s tired, too, Clark notes.
