    Summary

One letter after another, picking apart each word, trying to find signs, answers, anything that could betray his intentions before that night.

But there was nothing, and each letter twisted the knife deeper and deeper before pulling out completely, leaving Remus bleeding out on the floor of his shitty excuse of an apartment. But, instead of dying, Remus felt reborn, like the cobwebs of his depression had cleared and he could think.

Think about how it was before everything went to shit. Think about how he was with James—how they looked at each other, how they spoke about each other, how they fought to keep each other in their lives. The faster Remus thought, the easier it was for him to come to a conclusion that had been threatening to give him hope for more than half a decade: it doesn’t add up.

(Or: AU where Remus gets Sirius a fair trial)

    Summary

Together, they got to watch Harry grow up to be the literal light of their lives; they often talked about how James and Lily had taken Sirius, fresh out the slammer otherwise known as Grimmauld Place, and Remus, a literal werewolf, and changed their lives completely, and how they left behind Harry to make sure they never go through a day being any less happy as they were since they became friends all those years ago.
The best parts of the best people they knew lived in Harry, and Remus and Sirius did their best to make them proud.

Now, three years after sending Harry off to Hogwarts for the very first time (“Merlin, you’ve gotten so big–” “Padfoot, I love you but I have to get on the train now.” “Let your godfather kiss you, Pronglet, or he’ll weep the entire ride home.”) Sirius was grading–grading– essays from his third-year Transfiguration class that had just finished, while he waited for his husband to get finished with his own Defence Against the Dark Arts class in the next half an hour so they could head up to their room for a small kip before dinner.

Fate really did have funny ways of turning out. Downright hilarious, in Sirius’ opinion.

    Summary

    Sirius was mad.

    Well, not mad.

    Annoyed.

    Yes.

Remus was ignoring him, and he was annoyed.

For the past few weeks, if you went looking for one Remus Lupin, he would likely be found in one of the following places:

    1. In the library, surrounded by Lily, Marlene, Mary, and other students who were panicking about the upcoming N.E.W.T.S exams

2.In their dorm room, surrounded by books and parchment, silently muttering to himself and panicking about his upcoming N.E.W.T.S exams

He had even transfigured the trunk usually placed at the end of his bed into a compact study desk, which was where he was sitting right now, scribbling furiously over a piece of parchment in an attempt to redo his Potions notes for the second time.

    Or was it the third?

Sirius couldn’t bring himself to care, because right now, that parchment was getting more attention from his boyfriend than Sirius had gotten for WEEKS.

    So yes. Sirius was annoyed.

“Don’t you see it? The resemblance between us?”
“The resemblance?” Remus laughed, “You wish you looked as good as me!”
“Oh believe me when I say, I don’t,” Roman scoffed, “With that ridiculous stubble? What fourteen year old has a stubble?”
“I’m fifteen, which would be about as high as your IQ, I bet?”
“Look here, you prepubescent Freddie Mercury wanna-be-,”
“Ok, boys, break it up,” Joan got between Roman and Remus, trying their best to seperate the boys who looked like they would draw their swords again.
“You wanna know the real difference between us?” Remus sneered.
“Let me guess,” Roman played along, “I know how to fence and you don’t? Or I have class and you don’t? Take your pick.”
