Summary
It was a square shape, a bit larger than a normal notebook, with a white ribbon twisted into a bow to keep it closed. Tails picked it up curiously. It was clearly Sonic’s as he’d never seen it before, so it would be an invasion of privacy to look inside. But then again, Sonic had left it out in the open; if it was private he could’ve at least put it in his room. However, he hadn’t expected Tails to be home anytime soon so-
Who was he kidding. He could argue with himself all day if he wanted, but in the end he knew curiosity would get the better of him anyway. Before he could stop himself, he pulled at the ribbon and opened the book.
Or: Sonic makes a scrapbook of his memories with Tails.

"Proud of?" Questions Sonic, quirking up a brow.
"Tails." Vanilla replies, not moving her gaze from the kids, "He's still a kid but he has accomplished so much already. I swear it'll take a blink and he'll be all grown up before you know it. Sometimes, I feel like Cream already has…"
That's when Sonic puts his mug down and really looks at his little brother.
