Summary
This story picks up in winter time, Barba-Benson family settle in to a new routine and covers the lead up to Christmas and the final wait to formalise little Isabella's adoption, making a family of four.
As the family anticipates an exciting new season, filled with Winter Balls and family holiday plans, Olivia's under pressure at work dealing with a case involving missing children, which means she needs to learn how to ask for more support at home when she needs it.
Rafael's Mom experiences some health issues, which means the family needs to come together to support her, and her presence provides some much needed support and guidance for Olivia too.
A follow-on story for "House of Dreams" and "Tread Softly".

Summary
After a long time spent out of touch, Olivia Benson hears that Rafael Barba is back living in New York. She finds out that he has renovated a brownstone in Brooklyn, where he now resides with his dog, Bruno. Olivia finds her curiosity piqued.
Following a chance encounter at a choir service, Noah seems eager to welcome Rafael back into both of their lives. Amanda and Carisi both offer their support and encouragement, and Olivia soon finds herself reconnecting with Rafael.
Gradually, they become closer and she lets herself begin to imagine a new life they could share together, as a couple. As they grow closer, however, Elliot Stabler makes a reappearance, still carrying a torch for Olivia.
This is a story with a Barba/Benson endgame perspective.
