And for the second time in as many days, Tifa can’t help but nurse that tiny flicker of hope that this is all really happening. That she isn’t actually losing her mind and hallucinating Aerith being here. That there must be a good explanation for why Denzel can’t see Aerith – why no one can see Aerith except for her.
(Post-canon fix-it) It's not like Tifa understands exactly how Aerith had managed to come back from the dead. Then again, she can't even say for sure that Aerith's really here and not some vivid figment of her own wild imagination.But hell, she'll more than willingly take it, either way.

"Y'know," Rook drawled as she watched Neve fill a shelf with a stack of mismatched books, "We are close friends with some folks in high places. Surely we could petition them for something...a little bigger?" She shifted an overflowing box of case notes against her hip as she gestured out at the small apartment with her free hand. The space seemed nearly as small as Neve's quarters in the Lighthouse, and Rook could already tell that it was barely going to be able to hold half of Neve's belongings, let alone her own.
Was that a little bit of a petty thought? Maybe. Still.
"We do know 'folks', sure," Neve drawled, barely turning from her work to shoot Rook a wry glance, "But is that really how you want this brand new Minrathous to start? With barely concealed favoritism?"

Rook helps Neve move into her new apartment in Minrathous, after they finally stop the gods. She's just a little concerned if there's enough room for her. In more ways than one.
