Summary
"I am a forest fire, and I am the fire and I am the forest and I am a witness watching it."
Denji dies after having eaten Makima to become one with her and expects oblivion. Instead, he awakens, in a world he should not exist in.
A fog clouds his past memories, letting only pieces slip through one by one: blood on his hands, screams that never stop, the sound of a chainsaw tearing through flesh. None of it makes sense in this new life, nor does it ever make him belong as he grows.
No matter where he turns, misery trails behind him as if cursed for eternity, cursed to not be able to outrun the fate carved into his skin.
