    Vincent pulled out a thick packet of papers and a pen from his back pocket. “This is the rental contract.” He flipped through the pages– Rody briefly saw one titled “NDA,” probably just “no damages agreement” or something– until he got to the last one. “Rent is due on the last day of the month. Just sign on the dotted line there.”

    “Wow, uh, thank you, Mr. Charbonneau.” He took the pen and wrote Rody Lamoree in his messy scrawl, hoping it looked official enough.

    For the first time in their entire interaction, the owner smiled. “You may call me Vincent. And the pleasure is all mine.”

    What did Nat just get herself into?

    At this point, she can’t just leave, so she places a hand on Misty’s waist, pulling her closer. Misty freezes, then immediately holds onto Nat and takes her free hand. She rests her head on Nat’s shoulder, and Nat can feel her own heart rate quickening, her body getting hotter.

    This was dangerous. Nat acknowledged her attraction to Misty Quigley and then decided to slow dance with her. In the same night.

    “I’ve never slow danced with a girl before,” Misty whispers in Nat’s ear. Nat doesn’t doubt that, but pulls her head back to look at Misty, whose cheeks were flushing. She smiles, “I like it.” Nat tilts her head and narrows her eyes, wondering if Misty was implying something.

    Natalie and Misty reunite at a wedding, seemingly by chance (though Misty may have orchestrated the whole thing). Natalie wants to make Travis jealous. Misty wants to experiment with women. In the process, they both end up learning something about themselves.
