    This starts by loosely following Volume 3, Chapter 19: The Hunt (Part Three).
    Maomao finds herself stuck in a cave with Jinshi after the duo jumped into a river to escape an assassination attempt during Lord Shishou's hunt. While trying to climb out of the cave, Maomao falls and is caught by Jinshi. Their close contact leads to her discovering that he has something he shouldn't and in an attempt to feign ignorance, Maomao maybe pushes Jinshi a little too far.

    If you've read the light novel or manga, or watched the anime, you may have seen up to this point already, but what if Lihaku's dog hadn't heard Maomao whistle?
