“The exact same idiot in two different fonts.” Enjin tends to describe us like that, but I don’t see it. In fact, I think I’m more tolerable than Zanka. The high-and-mighty brat walks around headquarters with an aura so cold you’d think he’d still be freezing under all those layers. Even through his grueling training, he still finds time to embarrass me, popping up in almost every situation I’m in. His presence is infuriating. At least that’s what I thought—before everything. Before our training, our arguments, our missions. They say the heart grows fonder with distance, but for us, the more we got to know each other, the more complicated it became. Maybe rivalry isn’t us hating each other. Maybe it’s just us not understanding each other. Whatever. Maybe the stomach just grows louder without food.
