Summary
Sigma doesn’t exactly like Dazai, but they do begrudgingly respect him and what he’s doing for the Detective Agency. In order to meet his stakes, Sigma responds in kind, even if it means throwing their life on the line. They were supposed to die much earlier, anyway.
But they don't die. In fact, they wake up right when Dostoevsky smashes into the prison. It seems Dazai really will make good on his promise to get them out of Meursault alive, and he might even give them more than that.
He might just give them a home.
or, alternatively: an au where sigma wakes up in time to warn the agency about dostoevsky's plan (and the road to acceptance and healing that follows)

After running away from the Port Mafia, Dazai and Chuuya find themselves hiding in a small apartment far from Yokohama.
On the first night, Chuuya wakes to an empty bed and an open balcony door.
(or: Dazai scares the shit out of Chuuya, and can’t come to terms with the fact that Chuuya chose this.)
