Suddenly, Jinx raised her head and then looked back at Caitlyn, blowing her bang out of her face. “You know… You may think you’re all high and mighty with all your money, noble house, and lovely long legs” – Jinx’s eyes flickered down to Caitlyn’s legs (heat flushed her cheeks) – “but you’re no better than me. “There’s no time,” Wednesday interrupted, hurrying over to sit right next to Enid. “Phase one of the plan is beginning any second. We’ll talk later.”
“What plan…” was all Enid got out before several things happened in quick succession.
Thing dropped from the air vent and gave Wednesday a thumbs up before scurrying under the bed.
Wednesday grabbed Enid’s face and kissed her on the lips.
The door to dorm flung open and an angry Weems stormed in. “I swear to god Addams, if I get one more noise complaint I… oh my.”

Summary
They look at each other only to say a quick goodnight. The moonlight from the window paints silver stripes on Ekko’s dark skin, and Jinx thinks he looks like a galaxy. Maybe it’s better to close her eyes and drift off into nothingness, just to get away from all the things her body is telling her to do right now instead of sleep. If she’s lucky, she’ll dream about something really unsexy and be successfully distracted. Cafeteria food. The drowned rat she found in the toilet bowl that one time. Vi’s last girlfriend. Come on, brain, anything.
When Ekko ends up crashing at her barely furnished new apartment and they have to share a bed for the first time since grade school, Jinx is forced to accept three facts: 1) They're not kids anymore. 2) Biology is a damn traitor. And 3) Best friends shouldn't be allowed to grow up hot.
