Despite her reluctance, Taelia works with him to help rescue the young king with whom they were both involved before his abduction. She learns there's more to the story than she previously thought, and somehow a black dragon becomes the most honest person she's met in a while. She knows it's probably a mistake when their mutual heartbreak, loneliness, and despair lead them to sleep together, but Taelia isn't the only one hoping that what happens in Oribos, stays in Oribos.
