Summary
Beatrice “The Shadow Rider” Young is a mysterious visiting cowboy, covered in black and silver from her hat to her boots. Ava Silva is the local barmaid who’s never left this town. The tension is palpable between the two when Beatrice wanders into The Cradle with her crew in search of a drink, and maybe someone to keep her bed warm. Ava seems to take an interest in Beatrice, ignoring her rough n’ tumble entourage in favor of getting to know their delegated leader.

"Who is it?"
"Just tell me," Ava pleads.
"No, I know that you only ever want to hear gory work stories when you need a distraction. So...who is it?" Camila laughs at Ava's pout and shrugs as she turns away to carry on dancing. Ava won't have that, won't be left alone when she's drunk and incapable of stopping herself from launching her body through the brass section and into the strong arms of a gorgeous woman - who, by the way, definitely looks like she could catch Ava without breaking a sweat.
"Okay okay!" She pulls Camila back into her space, receiving a smug grin as she does so. "The guitarist."
"You mean Beatrice?" Camila's eyes widen.
