Summary
The General pops out of the tent, scowling, and hurls a blanket- which Cody recognizes as one from the man's nest- sending a cloud of dust into the air when it lands. Skywalker winces, rubbing the back of his neck.
Cody decides, abruptly, that he is too tired for this and will be spending the night in the medical tent.
He is not quiet enough, obviously, because the General calls out, “Ah, Commander, you’re back! Apologies for all this,” he pauses to send another glare at his former Padawan, “I’ll be finished ridding the tent of foreign stench in a second, and the space will be all yours.”
It is then that Cody realizes his entire life is a fucking joke.
(or, Cody has never given much thought to things such as nesting and courting. This is, as it turns out, a mistake.)

“They’re… they’re Force sensitive,” He whispers, nearly inaudible, his hands shaking.
The baby’s face is scrunched up in pain, and their breathing is getting uneven. They’re clearly sick, and getting weaker. Cody feels a little nauseous trying to imagine how long they’d been out here alone.
“Cody,” Obi-Wan says, his face washed with moonlight, “We have to take them with us. We can’t leave them.” It’s not a question, but he’s still asking permission in some sort of way. Cody doesn’t hesitate to nod.
Cody finds Obi-Wan on Tatooine three years after Mustafar. Together, they find a baby. They've more than earned a bit of happiness and a family. -

Cody’s mind briefly flashes back to when one of the new troops thought it would be hilarious to pull a prank on the shapeshifting General; he’d released a tiny robotic mouse into the ship, then reported that there was a live mouse just to get Obi-Wan’s instincts to kick in. Cody found him half an hour later perched inside a cubby-hole with the electronic ripped to shreds, eyes blue and glaring disappointedly at him, even in his owl form.
Or, force sensitives can shapeshift into birds. Somehow, this changes everything- including the fate of the entire galaxy. Maybe Obi-Wan and Cody have time to fall in love along the way.

Summary
Obi-Wan was absolutely soaked, standing there in his sweater vest with a blanket clutched to his chest. His hair clung to his face and his glasses were completely covered in raindrops. To put it simply, Obi-Wan looked like an absolute disaster. Cody felt something warm spread through his body, flushing up his neck and settling deep in his chest. He had only been alive for twenty five years, but, in that moment, he knew with almost startling clarity that the man before him was the love of his life.
Or, Obi-Wan brings a cat into Cody’s life, and the cat brings them together.

Staring down at his clever mate, Spock finds himself at a total loss for words; as a Vulcan, he should not believe in ‘luck’. As a half-Vulcan, he is fully aware that his lucky stars can be found amongst the mischievous sparkle of Jim’s blue eyes, and he finds himself awed once more by the incredible man beneath him.
:Love you too.: Jim hums into the bond, pressing an adoring wave of affection directly into the Vulcan’s mind.
“Kiss me?” he whispers into the pocket of warm air gathering between their bodies. Jim's squirming has ceased for the moment, desperation broken by the sheer amount of soft emotions that Spock is projecting.

Nearly silent in his Roman style sandals, Spock catches Jim entirely off guard and tumbles him immediately to the ground, carefully shielding his skull even as the momentum of their impact knocks the air from Jim’s lungs.
