Summary
In many ways, taking on the role of father has been little more than a pantomime act. A mould he had haphazardly pressed himself into, but rarely has he felt the tight and ill-fitting walls of that mould more than right now, scrabbling for something to say.
Iris must see the conflict on his face. It is the sudden tilt to her head and the concerned worry in her lip that finally pushes the words into his mouth.
“It’s a marvelous story, my dear,” he manages at last, forcing a reassuring smile. It is not a lie. It is marvelous. Sholmes can appreciate good literature when he sees it and this, indeed, has all the hallmarks of a competent novella and would have impressed even if it had not been penned by an eight-year-old’s hand.
Iris shows Sholmes her first manuscript.

Summary
Klavier Gavin is the most famous rockstar in the world. Guilty Love is about to go platinum and the tour sold out fourteen stadiums. So there's really, really no reason why one anonymous music critic on Youtube who hates him should get under his skin. And yet somehow he'd do just about anything to convince MikekoMusic to like him.
Apollo has been doing Youtube as a fun side hustle while he tries to break into the talent management industry, and he's just landed an assistant gig working for Kristoph Gavin. Whose main client is his golden boy younger brother. Whose music Apollo has been anonymously trashing for years.
Yeah, this is all going to go fine.
(No lawyers, no murders, just shenanigans. And Clay Terran lives.)

Summary
Klavier expected sex with Apollo to be great. He did not expect that Apollo's uncanny perception would force him to confess his most shameful desires, or that Apollo would be able to give him everything he ever wanted.

Summary
They make their way over to the bar. Klavier shifts, smiling sheepishly at Apollo.
“Let me guess, your friend is trying to set us up?”
Apollo grimaces. “How could you tell?”
Klavier gestures vaguely to the book on the table and sits in Clay’s empty seat. “You’re the walking stereotype of bringing a book to a concert, and you’re drinking soda. Seems to me you’re not the bar type.”Bookmarked by meepmorpmorp

Summary
“I - you know, I am probably overthinking this - “ Gregson continued to stammer, his face now bright red. “But - well. Back there. A few minutes ago. They were - that whole - ,” his hands flew up, emphasizing his articulation. “That whole…thing between them - I thought they were going to - Mr. Asogi they were so close!”
“How are you just noticing?” Asogi raised an eyebrow. “You work with them frequently, no?”

Gregson brings what he hopes is a standard murder case to Sholmes. It is not, of course, and Gregson is left with some unpleasant revelations concerning the exact nature of the relationships between the Japanese foreign exchange students and certain members of the British judiciary system.(Or the one where Gregson realizes everyone is actually in love.)
