Summary
A Soulmate AU in which everyone has a formless necklace around their neck that begins to take shape soon after one meets their soulmate.
Unfortunately, this means that the two must manage to fall in love during the span of a few days - lest one of them dies, with no certain way to tell just who it would be.After one fateful encounter activates the necklaces of one Kuroba Kaito and another Kudou Shinichi, they have to go through that exact process.
This is Kaito's first time meeting his soulmate - he's giddy, excited even, determined to make Shinichi fall in love with him, though his attempts go unnoticed.
Shinichi's had a soulmate of his own in the past, but it didn't end up 'working out', with him being left as the survivor. He's unsure about it all, avoiding Kaito like the plague. It's Kaito's job to fix that, doing whatever it takes to open Shinichi's eyes once again.
Will they be able to connect their necklaces in time? Or will it end terribly once again, ending with one of them dead?
