Summary
London during the Victorian Era was...something. It was a time of poverty, especially for Nikolai Gogol.
Nikolai was an immigrant from Ukraine, whose parents died soon after arriving to London. He was sent to a boys only orphanage at the age of 12 and kicked out not long ago.
Why was he kicked out, you ask? Well, the 14 year old was found stealing from the kitchen at midnight and would skip his classes. Eventually, the orphanage gave up with him and kicked the boy out.
Now, Nikolai spends his time in the neverending alleys of London. His life gets harder everyday, until now.
