Summary
Madeleine Rose Potter was a mediocre witch. Of this, she was certain.
Thrust into the Wizarding world at the age of thirteen, she went from being a Muggle with potential to a witch without hope. While the famous Harry Potter quickly assimilated and became the new quidditch prodigy and Hogwarts hero through defeating angry trolls and basilisks alike, Madeleine dramatically failed to meet everyone's expectations. She wasn't sorted into the House of Gryffindor, she didn't dare fly a broomstick, and she questioned on a daily basis whether Ollivander had mistaken a twig of willow for her wand.
But when faced with dementors in 1993, fifteen-year-old Madeleine starts to remember lost memories of her past, unravel her father's secrets, and discover the true potential of Mae Rose.

Summary
Leo James Black learned from a young age that love is unconditional — that no matter how many times he stumbles and falls, his mother will always be there to give him the strength to stand, his godmother too. He has felt the permanence of affection and the opulence of perpetuity (he can attest that fun Uncle Ken consistently makes the world's yummiest waffles). He knows the power of chosen family — the insignificance of kinship — and that fathers don't need to come in the shape of men.
He believes in fairytales. In soulmates. In a farmer finding a queen.
When an unexpected journey to Hogwarts brings him face-to-face with Professor R.J. Lupin, however, his naïvety slowly begins to crumble.

Summary
Aquila Lycoris Black learned from a young age that love is purely conditional — that it blesses you with its soft graces only so long as you keep your wrists tied and let your joints bend to the muses of a masked marionette bathed in flower-scented smoke. Strings snipped, it vanishes into a faded ghost, bearing the face of an invisible friend of a childhood long past.
Remus Lupin would prove himself to be no exception.
