Simon and I are being ushered through the crowd of swarming bodies, panicked by the shots fired minutes earlier. Simon’s hand is tight around mine and he’s tugging me forward. He shoves me into the SUV with heavily tinted windows.
Bewildered, I turned to look at him. I don’t understand what I’m seeing. He’s pulled out an earpiece, the same kind my guards use. He looks me dead in the eye, pained, “Bumble Bee has been secured; I repeat Bumble Bee has been secured.”
Simon is looking at me and those familiar blue eyes have never looked so foreign. “Simon, what’s going on?”
He grimaces, but says nothing, slamming the car door in my face and slapping it twice. The driver speeds off into the dreary London night. I look back at Simon until he fades into the distance, and I’m forced to deal with the betrayal alone.

Five years after Watford, Baz and Simon have gone their separate ways. Simon is finishing his last semester of Social Work (and is finally ready to date a bloke) and Baz has started a Masters program (and still dreaming of a certain chosen one's golden curls).
After a stellar first date with Daniel (Simon's sure it was stellar. He got his number after all), Simon can't help but text him straight away.
Except it's the wrong number.
And a very snarky stranger replies.
A snarky stranger who sounds a lot like Baz.Except it can't be Baz. Because Simon starts to fall for the prickly guy on the other end of his messages, and he would never fall for Baz.
