Summary
This is what I think about to clear my head when I'm stuck on a part in The Aileni. That one is still ongoing, and the next chapter is being written right now, but I needed to get some other stuff out of my brain to focus. So you get this.
Rick Taft is retired at just under forty, ready to enjoy the fruits of a long career in the nominal employ of MACUSA, meeting interesting people, and killing them. Or just meeting them. He didn't kill EVERY person he met.
He and his wife, who, he freely admits, is scarier than he is, settle in a quiet English village because they fell in love with London on R&R a decade or so ago but were in no way willing to shell out the coin for a place in the city.They weren't expecting the neighbor kid.
Bear with me as I word-vomit this story about a guy who fought in wizarding wars as the Scariest Squib In The World, retired to a peaceful life, and became a parent rather suddenly because he's never been the kind of guy to turn a blind eye.
Support Harry as he's raised by a couple of retired MACUSA special operators whose idea of education involves international travel and swear words. Pray for him when he tries to talk to a girl with his dad around.

Summary
Harry Potter is taken from the Dursleys doorstep, by Minerva McGonagall to Ireland to grow up away from the limelight, and the meddlesome interest of an old man with far too high an opinion of himself. Once Dumbledore finally retires, he comes to Hogwarts to start his NEWT studies. He meets another newcomer on the train, a muggleborn girl who was sent to France after her first burst of accidental magic. Where she lived with her relatives, that had some magic themselves. She transferred from Beauxbatons, to study Transfiguration and Charms at Hogwarts, subjects in which it still has a high reputation. She is intrigued by the charming Irish boy she meets on the train, and his rather weird ‘sister.’

Summary
My response to Reptilia28's "Don't Fear the Reaper" Challenge. Harry goes to sacrifice himself to Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest, only to find himself laying in an unfamiliar office in front of a person he could almost swear he has met before... someone who is working themselves up into quite the tirade. What was she saying? Something about being here AGAIN!? Things were getting strange, but that does seem to be up to the usual par, so what's the worst that could happen?
