The former hero twirled his pendant necklace around in his fingers with a hefty sigh. He spared it a sorrowful glance, begrudgingly turning in his hammock before lifting the key to get a closer look at the emerald-hued gem at its centre.
Eight years had passed ever since he went on his last adventure with his best friend and partner, Astral. They’d been separated so many times. He thought he would’ve been used to it by now.He had no idea how wrong he was.
He’d laughed, smiled, and celebrated with his friends for years. He did everything he could to fulfill the promise Astral wanted him to keep.
