She held a bottle of Firewhiskey in one hand that looked only a quarter full, and reached out to steady herself with the other, gripping the arm of the large, red armchair to balance herself. He took in the flushed pink of her cheeks and the mussed look of her dark red hair, and wondered whether she hadn’t drank the entire bottle of Firewhiskey herself.
Again, she spoke. Softer this time, and lower. “Kiss me, James.”
