Where the lightbulb was only flickering before, it shoots on completely as Sanji makes the final connection in his brain. The curly eyebrow. The blond hair covering one eye. The cigarettes. The fact that Luffy literally called this man Sanji.

As if sensing the foreboding crisis about to drown Sanji whole the man, no, the older version of himself, laughs. “Ah, it seems I’m in a time where you haven’t made…” He tosses his hair artfully over his shoulder, “…. the Discovery, yet.”
Sanji balks. What the hell does THAT mean?

Summary
The way Sanji balls his fists and scowls, face reddening with anger, moving to kick at Zoro as the perfect image of grace, body lithe and nimble like that of a dancer. The way that his hair shines in the sunlight, how the freckles from years at sea scatter gently across his skin like glitter, how he matches Zoro one for one on everything. To be so hyper aware of each other of all times that, without even thinking about it, they fight in perfect tandem, the wings of the future pirate king, equals in every way that matters.
…Ba-bump, ba-bump, ba-bump.
Frowning, Zoro raises a calloused hand to his chest. Again, he muses to himself, the weird sensations. He’ll be damned if he talks to Chopper about this (he can handle it on his own), but the elevated heart rate is really unusual. Oh well. It’s probably best if he just ignores it. Maybe he just needs to train more.
