Summary
“Are you sure?” Sanghyeon picks up again. He looks a bit scared. “He seemed a bit worried about you because of the preg–”
“Sanghyeon-ah!” Sangwon stands up. Someone throws him a dirty look. “Sorry.” He says, mostly to Leo’s mom, who looks at him with something weird in her eye. “I’m good. So, if you could– We’re in the middle of something here–”
“We’ll call for you if we need anything else.” Leo clears his throat. It seems to be the first time Sanghyeon realizes his presence on Sangwon’s side, because his eyes suddenly go wide and his cheeks color pink. He stutters through an apology and bows before running off.
Sangwon clenches his fists, hoping it will stop him from doing something stupid, like running away as well or bursting out in tears.
“What a funny guy.” Leo fakes a laugh.
His mom is still sitting silently, staring at the both of them.
“Eomonim–”
“Correct me if I’m wrong,” she starts, “but was he going to say pregnancy?”
