Dear Mr. Han,
On behalf of your extended family, I was given the task to relay the information to you. Your uncle, Mr. Jung-Hoon Han, passed away on 25th of April.
It was stated in your uncle’s will that upon his death, the beachside villa he owns in Jeju Island will be inherited by you and Mr. Yejun Nam, a local who lived near said villa that your uncle has treated as family for years. The will reading happened a week from now. If you’re wondering why news of his death had only reached you now, it was due to his wishes to delay its arrival to you and to quote his exact words as to why: “One less person who’ll cry at my funeral”.
It is better if you could come visit South Korea soon and talk with Mr. Nam regarding the villa so both of you could come to terms on how you want to share the inheritance. A copy of the will is also included with this letter and a short message from your uncle;
