The hanahaki disease.. was supposed to be deadly and very much fictional. But no, whoever creates these abilities must be really really bored. The hanahaki disease we all know from the stories should start by coughing, then bloodied flowers, then supposedly death. In this universe, it's the opposite..? Instead of coughing up flowers, it RAINS flowers!
