Summary
“But..” She said, instead, looking to her friends, her lips twitching up in a half smile, “we got it! Didn’t we? Fam? No fleet called, no reason to come down ‘ere to earth.”
The others didn’t smile back at her. Frustrating. She thought she’d said it with enough optimism to steer things back to their intended course, but the others just kept looking at her with that.. that.. look in their eyes. Like they could see what she was feeling. Or like they at least WANTED to.
--------------------
When faced with the horrors and strain of her past, when her own fam is made to see it, the Doctor wants for only one thing: a nice, peaceful planet to bring everyone to where she can pretend it wasn't a big deal, actually, and everyone should enjoy themselves after saving the day again. -

Summary
“D’ya bet this thing could give us any answers?” Ryan asked over his shoulder, mostly just wondering aloud. “I mean.. It’s bound to have something. Right? It can take messages, so why not…”
“We’d have to know what to even look for,” Graham chimed in. “And I dunno ‘bout you, mate, but I couldn’t guess what one button on that thing does.”
Ryan sighed in reluctant agreement. “Just wish she’d tell us somethin’,” he said quietly. “Feels like she owes us this much…”
How many times did O - no, the Master - try to kill them in just one day?
“…Well-” Graham took a breath, setting his cup down on the railing. “Guess maybe we could-”
The TARDIS thrums. They all jolt. A colour ripples through each of the pillars, something purple, and everyone sees something from the corner of their eye.
Its a silhouette, flickering and forming before their very eyes.

This particular regeneration found it hard to open up, even to her fam. Almost impossibly so. So, the TARDIS does as it does best - and inserts itself, showing the fam a private moment with that confusing, impossible man from earlier that day. -

“So.. Adam..” Charlie exhaled softly. She looked over her shoulder to Vaggie, who placed a comforting hand on her partner’s shoulder. Charlie’s expression softened into a smile.
She looked at Adam again. “Thank you for coming here. It takes a lot to seek out redemption.”“Uh huh.”

Summary
“You died. Because Nifty definitely killed you. And you’re still in Hell.” Don’t say it. Don’t fucking say it. “You’re a sinner?”
“-I’m as much a sinner as you’re some Hellborn loser.” Adam snapped back automatically, immediately, a new tension in his voice as he shoved her aside. He stepped away from the wall, nose scrunching. “Don’t fuckin’ even think that. I’m ADAM. I’m not a fucking sinner.”
--------------------
Two things were true. The first was that Adam was killed during the most recent Extermination. The second was that he definitely woke up after the fact, very much still breathing. The third, quieter thing, was that he was still in Hell. And he didn't know how to get out.Series
