Summary
When Buck buys a Powerball lottery ticket he doesn't think much beyond his need for change to air up his tire. He forgets all about the ticket until word spreads that the winning ticket was sold in LA and hasn't been claimed yet and pretty much dismisses it. After all, there's no way he won the lottery.
Turns out no, he really did win the Powerball, to the tune of 295 million dollars and just in time for Christmas. He's going to make sure the 118 has the best Christmas of their lives. And just maybe he'll have a good one too.

“They look like they run a pyramid scheme and a juice cleanse scam”

Athena replied.
“And we need eyes on them fast but we need a believable couple to infiltrate their inner circle they’re hosting a couples-only weekend retreat in Malibu”
She paused then looked directly at Buck and Eddie.
The room instantly went still.“Which is why I’ve decided”
she said clearly savoring the moment
“that Buck and Eddie will be going undercover…as a couple.”
There was a full second of silence.
“YOU WANT US TO DO WHAT?!”

It's the smoke that wakes him, seeping into his apartment not ten minutes after he finally knocks off.
He's off the couch in half a second, heart pounding with adrenaline, at the kitchen counter before he even realizes that the familiar smell in his nose is burning insulation.
There isn't any alarm going, no sprinklers on, no neighbors screaming or doors banging open, but Buck knows.
"9-1-1," says a vaguely familiar voice on the other end of the phone once he punches in the numbers. "What's your emergency?"

Buck is leaning against the rig breathing shallow one hand pressed to his side beneath his turnout coat.
His smile is still plastered on but it’s cracking now.
Eddie comes up beside him, quiet.“You’re hurt”
Buck flinches, just slightly.
“I’m not”
“Buck”
“I’m not”
he insists but it’s through clenched teeth
“It’s nothing. Probably just a bruise”
Eddie’s jaw tightens.
“Let me look”
Buck steps away.
“No”
“Why?”
“Because if you look, I’m gonna fall apart”
Buck snaps, the words raw and too loud.
“And I can’t-I can’t do that right now, okay?”
Silence.
Then softly:”“Okay”
Eddie says.
“Then I’m not looking. But I’m not leaving either”

Summary
“How long have you two been together?” a voice asks next to him. Eddie startles at the low British tones, almost forgetting that he walked over to the bar with Henry.
Eddie shakes his head and looks away, his cheeks flushing at the fact that he had been caught staring. “We’re not.”
Henry looks down at Eddie, confused. “No?” He pauses for a moment, looks in Buck’s direction and then back to Eddie, reassessing. “But you’re in love with him?” he asks gently.
Eddie thought about lying, but there is something about Henry that makes it almost easy to tell him the truth. Eddie also had a feeling that had he tried to lie, Henry wouldn’t believe him anyway.
Eddie’s gaze finds its way back to Buck. Taking in his curls, the look on his face, the way he seems so relaxed and at peace. Buck hasn’t looked this happy in a long time. “How did you know,” is all Eddie responds.
“Because you look at him the same way I used to look at Alex.”
OR Eddie takes Buck along with him and Christopher to Austin, Texas for a Diaz Family Reunion™ at his uncle’s LBJ lake house, where Eddie’s cousin’s new fiancé, Henry, decides to play cupid for Buck and Eddie
