Summary
In spite of her wealth, beauty and brains, Anin was kind. She was polite and pleasant all around, always eager to listen, always eager for a good laugh. Her intelligence shone through the words she spoke. She was the type of girl Pin believed everybody would want to be friends with, and it puzzled her that Anin had somehow chosen her. Out of all people. As the weeks began to slip by, Pin’s gratitude grew like roots in rich soil, anchoring her to the truth of what Aunt Patt had told her: to find a friend in Anilaphat might do her some good.
She hadn’t known it back then, but this would be her greatest understatement.

Summary
Sometimes Freen needs her so evidently – so desperately – that it terrifies Becky. And she knows it terrifies Freen, too. She can see it after every single episode Becky manages to pull her out of. It’s all there in her troubled brown eyes, blazing with indisputable fear.
