Summary
It's 1983, and twenty-five years after a well-known protest movement was formed. When nuclear waste is found in the tube network, suspicion falls on an unlikely source.
“CND?” Doyle’s tone was incredulous.
“Apparently.” Cowley glared impartially at them. “So I want you two out there marching for a nuclear-free world before Big Ben starts to glow at night and the fish in the Serpentine start walking.”
Bodie and Doyle find themselves sharing a flat (and a bed) and working for the cause, dealing with old soldiers, vegans, dope-smoking students, anarchists, and Quakers. At least in the peace movement, they shouldn't need their guns... -
