Summary

Summary
When Ryusei lets his eyes wander with the little power he has left, he notices the short, red strands rocking in the water next. Then, the small, purple shell hanging from one of the other’s ears. And finally, the plump, red lips and then the pointy nose. A sharp jaw and soft cheeks, and oh.
He gets it now.
“Angels are even more beautiful than I imagined,” he whispers but it comes out croaked and ugly and he cringes once he registers his own voice. The eyebrows of the angel looming over him furrow. “Dying doesn’t seem so bad if you wake up like this…” Ryusei trails off, eyes briefly falling shut again.
When he awakens once more, with a violent gasp rattling his throat this time, his whole body is shaking. There’s no trace of the comfortable warmth and nice sunlight anymore. He’s cold, alone, with his tail throbbing so much Ryusei wants to hurl.
or: after barely managing to escape the humans with a harpoon stuck in his tail, ryusei falls unconscious in the mangrove forest he sought shelter in. when he wakes up, an angel with one hell of a personality patches him back together. in the end, ryusei gets more than he bargained for.

“There’s no way!” Shidou cackles, clutching onto his stomach for dear life as Rin recounts the story for them.
He scowls as he watches Shidou fall onto the floor, kicking and howling as if Rin just told the funniest joke in the world.
“It’s not that fucking funny,” Rin growls, kicking Shidou who is still writhing on the floor.
“The streamer boy you’ve been crushing on for months walks into the store and you’re so incapable of human interaction that you tell him the register is closed?” Shidou stifles another laugh, “You’re right, it’s not that funny, it’s fucking hilarious.”
