Jenny was not unaccustomed to lying to officials. Unfortunately, she told the council, the school had suffered some vandalism, the shock of which, she told Ofsted, had led their dear headmistress to resign in some haste, and of course, she told the social worker, she could handle taking over the school at the same time as taking care of a little girl.
"Does Miss Honey take good care of you?" the social worker asked Matilda.
Matilda looked straight into her eyes. "Yes," she lied, and Jenny didn't dare contradict her.

Summary
Before Elsa can return to the forest as the Snow Queen, she has to arrange her abdication as Queen of Arendelle. Away from her natural habitat, it is too easy to return to doubt, and fear, and anxiety. It starts as soon as she has to address her people:
"She is dressed in - she is barely dressed. Leggings inspired by the Northuldra, a flowing garment over the top too flimsy to be called a gown, glinting with spirit magic. None of it fabric, all of it ice. Her hair flows freely down her back, not a pin or braid in sight. Her feet are bare; she hadn’t noticed. She smells - not unclean, but sharp with seasalt. It coats her skin and matts her hair, heavy and harsh.
She does not look like a queen."

Summary
Once again, a leisure trip in the TARDIS turns into a mission to help. Yaz is on search and rescue, looking for a lost child, but soon finds she needs rescuing herself. In the meantime, Graham and Ryan grapple with the local culture, and the Doctor has to decide at what point she must let go of her hope. Five and a half hours might not be long enough this time...

As it happened, Laura noticed Nat first. Well, the red hair was striking, and she was still wearing it long at that stage. One long plait down her back, ending in a blue bobble. She had on slightly flared jeans and a plain pink t-shirt, and her raccoon dæmon was chirruping excitedly at the range of paint chips.
As for Clint, his shoulders were hunched, and his head was down. She couldn’t see his dæmon immediately, but then Laura moved further into the aisle and realised it was just because she was hiding behind his legs. A jackrabbit, with a black tail and ears, squatting close to the ground.
There was something wrong with this man.

"It takes several weeks before the Avengers all agree to move in properly to the Tower, long after Tony ostentatiously removes the defunct remains of S, T, R and K from its upper levels. It’s odd how nervous that leaves Pepper feeling."

There were many rumours about the Black Widow, some of which might even have been true. The most reliable of these were presented to Clint in maybe the sketchiest mission briefing he'd ever received, full of words like 'allegedly' and 'probably' and 'although it seems unlikely' which seemed out of place in a SHIELD file. There was only one piece of information that truly surprised him.
"We seriously don't know what her dæmon is, sir?" he asked Coulson.
