Then he’s smirking as if that brief intensely emotional moment had been just a hallucination, “You know other men?”

“If you don’t want to listen to me, well, you’re free to go wait in the bedroom.” You say casually, playing it off and taking your hand away from his hard-on and turning to sit on the lip of the tub, turning the hot water on. You only spare a glance at his stunned expression before humming to yourself, crossing your legs and giving the picture of nonchalance.
The loss of your attention seems to snap Rafayel back into the present, now evidently aware of how you seem to want things to go tonight. “No! No, no I’m not—I’m not impatient.” Rafayel hastily catches up to you, now standing in front of you and despite being on higher ground, his wide eyes and quivering lip suggests that he is very much not the one in control. “I’ll listen to you, I’ll listen so well.”

You step towards him with a wolfish smile. Rafayel slips a finger into one of the belt loops on your pants, tugging you closer. “I think you could stand to be knocked down a few pegs,” you say.
Rafayel’s brows raise, his eyes burning with a challenge. He opens his mouth, but the sound of the elevator arriving has him stepping back, putting a more appropriate amount of space between your bodies.
The elevator dings open and there’s no one else there. You step inside and Rafayel follows immediately, slinking in close enough behind you for you to feel the warmth of him radiating against your back. When you turn to face him, he’s staring down at you.
The door remains open for a few more seconds, waiting for any possible stragglers, and when it seems like no one else will be joining, Rafayel leans in to brush his lips against your ear.
“I dare you,” he murmurs.
So you do.
