“I thought you were dead,” he whispers, and a saddened noise passes Bucky’s lips as they tug downwards into a frown.
“I’m sure I look it.”
”No,” Steve denies, firmly. “You look just like you did before you left. Like my Bucky.”
‘My Bucky’. The words dive their way past Bucky’s chest and wrap themselves around his heart, squeezing tight enough to make Bucky’s breath hitch with the feeling.
