An annoying little voice in her head, suspiciously reminiscent of a familiar white haired man, whispered, Mydei's obviously showing symptoms of pregnancy. He's done it, Phainon's defied biology, he's put a baby in him.
Hyacine rushed to say, “But you’ve been snacking a lot more, haven’t you? It can’t just be a regular disease, seeing as the nausea hasn't inhibited your appetite, but made it bigger.”
“So you agree then,” Mydei said, and a radiant grin erupted on his face as though Hyacine had just shared brilliant news. “It is something within my body.”
A few months after Hyacine thinks she is finally free from third-wheeling Phainon and Mydei, Mydei falls pregnant.

It truly was impressive to see just how hopeless that man was for to Mydei. All anyone had to do was bring up the prince’s name, and Phainon’s ears would perk up like he had just heard a crucial detail to attack in a debate.
In fact, Hyacine mused, you probably didn’t even have to bring up Mydei's name. Phainon would inevitably derail any conversation into an ode to his muse’s greatness.
Hyacine as she observes (against her will) the strange relationship between Phainon and Mydei over the years.

Glancing at the decrepit apartment door, he knocked twice to no avail. "Um...Miss Kinoshita, I'm the temp housekeeper they've assigned." Still no answer.
"W-What am I supposed to do?! Is she not home? But I can't leave now, can I? They're gonna grill me for flaking out on the job!" Tamon panicked before reluctantly twisting the doorknob. "P-Pardon the intrusion..."
"Tch, take this, you piece of trash! All this drooling and for what?! How about you save all that for when you're watching ecchi anime in private, you sicko!" a girl shouted as she hammered her fists into a punching bag, where broken pieces of wood were strewn around her. "When I see you, I'm gonna rip your damn testicles out, ya hear me?!"
"Wait, it can't be...!" The disgruntled boy looked her up and down, too stunned to utter a word. "...The kindhearted angel of the heavens themselves, whose precious smile can disperse the darkest of hearts and purify any wretched soul...the Kinoshita Utage?!"
