John looks at the tags against Sherlock’s chest again. Tags are given away sometimes; to partners. To wives and girlfriends and husbands and boyfriends. To the person the soldier loves the most. “No. No, you might as well keep them.”
It’s as much a declaration as John can give. He doesn’t think Sherlock knows that it’s a declaration, but that’s okay.
