Summary
Claire Albenet is a young heiress to a large, multinational company (stay tuned to see if I ever fucking decide what industry it’s in), and her younger sister, Moira, has become afflicted with an illness none of her doctors can find the origin of, let alone a cure. Hellbent on finding some sort of treatment, Claire has researched so-called “black market” cures, and got wind of the existence of a mold with incredible regenerative properties. However, very little is known about the fungus, as the remote village in which it grows seems closed off from the rest of the world. Knowing that the defense contractor that works with the company wouldn’t even entertain the idea of sending anyone to investigate said village, Claire decides to do it herself.
