“We’re using twice the normal amount of ginger this time,” Itadori says.
“Huh? Why?” Fushiguro asks.
“Well, you really like ginger, don’t you?”
Fushiguro looks at him out of the corner of his eye. “How did you know?”
Itadori thinks about how Fushiguro drinks ginger tea every night before bed while he reads. Thinks about how his face considerably brightens when Itadori places his pickled ginger slices onto Fushiguro’s plate whenever they go out for sushi, how he always writes ginger into their grocery list. Thinks about how he always requests ginger rice when Itadori says he’ll cook takikomi gohan, adorably hovering by the kitchen extremely conspicuously and asking if he can “taste test” every five minutes, to which Itadori always obliges out of sheer endearment –
“…Eh, just a hunch,” Itadori quips.

Narumi grins as he steps up to stand beside the reporter. She turns smoothly to hold her microphone towards him. “So, Captain, what will you be doing after this fight to celebrate your victory?”
Narumi takes a deep breath. Now, he thinks, would be the perfect time to say something cool.
Unfortunately, that’s also when his earpiece crackles to life.
Vice-captain Hoshina is engaging the second kaiju, reports the control room.
“Hoshina,” grits Narumi out unthinkingly.
“Oh!” the reporter gasps breathily. Her cheeks pinken. Before them, the cameraman chokes.
Or: After a misconstrued interview with the media, Narumi is obliged to fake-date Hoshina for the sake of the Defense Force's publicity ratings. Along the way, Narumi gains a roommate, struggles with his feelings, and discovers just how difficult it is to tell where a pretend relationship ends and a real one begins.

“Should I?” Daichi asked, meeting Suga’s eyes in the mirror in front of them. His hair was thick and messy and lovely, but with his current style, even after a good trim, he wouldn’t need to come in again for another five to six weeks. And that was far too long.
