“Obito asked me where some of his stuff is,” Rin comments one day, kicking her feet and not even looking at Kakashi as if she's just talking about the weather.
“Uhuh,” Kakashi eloquently says, suddenly feeling very hot and grateful for the mask covering his face. “Figures the idiot loses his stuff.” There, a perfectly reasonable answer.
Rin hums, it sounds amused, it sounds as if she knows exactly where Obito’s things are and she’s only humoring him.
But that's ridiculous, right?

Summary
When Flins and the Traveler face off against the phantom Rerir at Starsand Shoal with the intention to stop him from regaining his true form, Rerir reveals a devastating repercussion from the way Flins has been keeping a fragment of Rerir's heart in his lantern: through the resonation of the Abyss, and the close proximity to Flins' true form, he has come to see what lies in Flins' heart.
