“No.” Renjun wedges one foot in the door and one elbow in Chenle’s sternum.
Chenle sways back. “Where do you want me to go?”
“Where were you before?”
Chenle rolls his eyes. “Trapped in an indefinite stasis waiting to be summoned by a miraculous show of sportsmanship from a dunce like you.”

It takes Mark a while to realize that this is sort of a game for Jaehyun, that all of the things that make it fun for him are exactly what make it upsetting for Mark—not knowing when Jaehyun will text, if Jaehyun will look at him that day, if Jaehyun is really still just helping out his little brother’s friend or something else. It’s probably not something else.
Or, Mark’s been in love with Jaehyun for twenty years. He’s never known any better.

“I’m sorry,” Mark mutters, so low it might’ve come out as a grunt, but he knows Jeno is fluent in his gibberish — Mark leans in and presses his nose to Jeno’s cold cheek, sighing when Jeno’s coat falls to his feet and he snakes his arms around his neck. “I’m so fucking terrified of anything happening to you. I can’t lose you. It’d kill me.”
“You worry too much,” Jeno kisses the corner of his mouth. “You can’t lose me. We’ve come too far.”
