Summary
As it turns out, Chris had been waiting for his dad to confirm they could stay in LA.
“This is home,” he’d stated simply. And that had been that.
However, that left the Diaz boys with one tiny problem - their former house was currently occupied. Luckily for them, said occupant loved their company and welcomed them back home with open arms. There wasn’t much by way of discussion - Eddie had told Buck that he and Christopher were staying in LA, Buck showed Christopher that his room was ready and waiting for him, and they celebrated with an evening of pizza and video games.
For a while, things were easy. Simple. Eddie was back at the 118, all of their belongings had been shipped over from El Paso, and the three of them developed a rhythm that made living together seamless.
At some point along the way, though, something shifted.
or; Eddie is in love with Buck. Buck is in love with Eddie. Neither knows how to deal with their current living situation, and instead of talking about it, things spiral out of control.

"You came in today with Buck," says probie while they're taking out the trash after lunch. "I noticed you guys arrived in the same car."
"Oh yeah, we carpool pretty much everyday." Eddie shrugs. "My house is on his way." It's not. It's actually ten minutes off Buck's way on the opposite direction of the station.
And besides, Buck's staying over at Eddie's most of the time anyway. He's basically moved in, by all accounts.
“Oh! So you’re, like, really good friends, huh?”
Eddie's pretty sure his eye must be twitching or something. Like seriously, does this guy have any clue at all about anything in life?
“Yeah, kind of.” He answers warily. "You could say that."or:

"Yes, sweetheart. Sorry, where were we?"
Eddie helps Phoebe with a few more math problems until he can hear her dad in the background.
"Did you call 911 again, Pheebo? What am I gonna do with you, huh?" Eddie hears what it sounds like the man doing a raspberry and Phoebe giggling before some static and then a gravelly, tired voice comes on the line. "Sorry, she does this—"
"I know." Eddie chuckles. "I'm Eddie, from the last time?"or:

“We could use the handcuffs I know you have in your drawer.” He blurts out, feeling the heat rush to his cheeks as he sees a playful, teasing smile tug at Tommy's lips and his eyebrows raise so high they almost touch his hairline.
“You've been snooping around? Trying to find any skeletons in my closet?” Tommy says it lightly, joking. His arm still secured over Buck's waist.
“No, shut up.” Buck hides his head against the guy's shoulder. “I saw them when I was looking for a hoodie a few weeks ago. Haven't been able to stop thinking about it, to be honest.”
“Yeah?” Buck feels the chuckle reverberate in Tommy's chest.
“Yeah.” He says, voice muffled against Tommy's skin.

“Jee, what have you done?” Buck groans, trying to unsend the emails that are— used to be in his drafts.
The emails that he's written to Eddie and that were never supposed to see the light of day.
The emails Jee somehow managed to send while Buck wasn't looking.
No, no, no.or;
buck should've known better than to let his email account open and then give his computer to a toddler to play with.
