Summary
Today, Harry sat on the bed, leaned against the headboard and read the same book from yesterday. Very differently from yesterday though, he didn’t fumble around, getting up or anything, he just kept sitting, nose buried in the book.
“How was your day so far?” Draco asked, looking at Harry, who was still not reacting. “Potter? You hear me?”
Now Harry looked up, his gaze pissed off and he showed him the middle finger.
Taken aback Draco didn’t know what to say, “What the-… bloody hell! Where did this come from?!”
Harry, put his book down, reached next to him, getting a notebook and he quickly scribbled on it and turned it around: ‘For yesterday!’
“For yesterday!?” Draco gasped, “Wha- why-… yesterday?! What? Are you salty I left you hanging or something!??”
Harry nodded short and quick and aggressively presented his middle finger again.
“Are you kidding me!?” Draco asked, followed by a sigh, “Fine. Sorry. I didn’t know you’d take it personally. I’ll make sure you’ll come next time.”
Upon the phrase ‘next time’ Harry’s toughness seemed to be wiped away and he averted his gaze. Draco smiled just a little. The old Harry was still there, just buried under years of conditioning.Bookmarked by nanapey
