"Kacchan?"
The blonde whipped his head around to see Deku behind him, coming through the door leading up to the school's roof. His puffy eyes indicated that the boy had been crying.
"What are you doing up here?" Izuku asks, his fingers gripping the hem of his school uniform tightly.
"I could ask you the same thing."
There was a look in the green-haired boy's eyes that he couldn't seem to place--something he'd never seen there before. He was used to seeing that annoying-ass sparkle in his emerald irises. It was something that defined the nerd. It was that childlike naivety in his dreams that bothered Katsuki to no end, but here on the roof, he saw absolutely no proof that a dream like that could have ever existed within the boy.
Why it made his chest constrict in a funny way was beyond his understanding.
