Shinsuke laughs lightly in amusement. “I can never see Osamu in that way.”
The face in the mirror softens as Shinsuke resumes his combing. After a moment, with a sheepish tone in his voice, Atsumu asks, “What about me?”
The comb stops in midair once again and Shinsuke couldn’t help but stare at the face in the mirror, which was gradually growing red. He opens his mouth to answer, but nothing comes out because he genuinely doesn’t know what to say.
“N-never mind, Kita-san. Sorry. That was weird of me to ask—"
But Shinsuke, no matter how shaken he is, is not one to leave what he started unfinished. “If... I had to choose between you, Osamu, or Suna… I would choose you.”
The shade of red deepens, and Shinsuke suddenly thinks it is all worth it.
