Apparently Jie Lianyu has made quite a reputation for himself. He heard from a grapevine flowing through the city that Hua Cheng spent his days searching for someone—his wraith butterflies scattered around the land looking for a rumored person who held his heart. Summary
Fate wasn't able to tear these two apart, but what if that was only delaying the inevitable? When a curse causes Hua Cheng to start being needlessly cruel to his beloved, even going as far as severing the one thing tying the two together, will that love survive? If that wasn't bad enough, when the curse finally releases its hold on the ghost king, he finds out that Xie Lian went missing not long after he left the manor. Now Hua Cheng has to find his beloved and apologize before something worse happens.

“I heard you got married.” San Lang says, all teasing gone, his voice even. “My congratulations.”
Xie Lian wishes his wedding was less public, but Jun Wu wanted to “do everything right”. If he knew back then how many times he’ll have to fake a smile and accept congratulations he would stand his ground.
San Lang’s congratulations sound more like condolences, for some reason. Xie Lian doesn’t ask, but doesn't bother to smile either.
“Thank you.” He says.
