    The day began like any other. Explosions, cursing, HYDRA operatives being flung left and right as the sun rose behind the heat waves radiating off of the dingy little minivan that they had taken out to this godforsaken outpost; all in a day’s work, one could say. At least, it was now since Sam had joined up with Steve a few years prior. If he had known then what he knew now, would he still have let the two ragged Avengers into his home? Something inside him wanted to say ‘no’ but deep down, Sam knew he was fucked from the moment he met Steve. There was just something about the well-built super soldier that he couldn’t stay away from. Looking at the golden boy of the government now that he was no longer all too welcome within the country he fought so hard for, Sam still felt that pull. The only difference now was one surly, death-stare machine that Steve called a friend.
