Summary
Miles sees Hobie multiple times a week. Hobie climbs in through his window, despite his mom telling all of Miles’ friends to knock on the front door. Hobie lets Miles wear his jackets and bundles him up in them on chilly nights. There’s at least one full sketchbook full of his face, his hair, his profile, his guitar, his thin, deft hands, everything. Hobie is one of his best friends, which is why it is horrible and terrible that Hobie has to see him like this, right now.
“You can’t be here twenty-four-seven, dude,” Miles says. “That look ain’t gonna work on me.”
“What if I want to?” His thumb, tracing Miles’ jaw. “Would you let me, if you could?”
Miles gets a nasty injury during a routine night as Spider-Man. It isn't a big deal until Hobie Brown climbs in through his window.
