Cloud hesitates, but before he can reply, Aerith calls out, waving them over with a warm smile. The sight of her leaning over the counter, laughing with the vendor, makes something twist uncomfortably in his chest. He can’t let Zack have her. Zack nudges him, eyebrows raised. “Well? What’s it gonna be?”
Grudgingly, Cloud mutters, “Fine.”
Cloud Strife has his sights set on Aerith, but things take a turn when Zack Fair, Midgar’s star football player, starts competing for her attention as well and refuses to go down without a fight.
