Jongwoo has killed before. What had started as an accidental murder became six weeks of killing out of a need to cover up his actions and the sheer adrenaline rush that had come with it. His intention upon moving to Seoul was to leave that behind him—not for the greater good, but because it was necessary.
But with the way this man is smirking at him in this kitchen with its shitty lighting and a display of probably-human meat on the table in front of him, Jongwoo thinks he just might be pushed to kill again.

Looking back, those words feel like a promise. Jongwoo’s gaping down at the man beneath him, who chokes yet again as his breathing becomes ragged. Why is it that Moonjo is so okay with dying? He’d fought so hard against Jongwoo all the way up until this point. The near-inhuman amount of strength he’d had had almost guaranteed him the win up until Jongwoo had gotten him with that scalpel.
Is he okay with it because he knows this isn’t the end? Is Moonjo really going to be a part of him for the rest of his life? Or does he gain some sort of demented satisfaction out of the fact that it’s Jongwoo who finally did him in?
