Zakładając kostium Kapitana Ameryki, był po prostu Kapitanem Ameryką, a gdy wracał do domu, tam gdzie żadne oczy nie przyglądały mu się z dozą współczucia, był Stevem, który próbował ułożyć sobie życie ze świadomością, że każdy jego wojenny kompan już nie żyje, a śmiech tego najwierniejszego będzie słyszał tylko na słabej jakości nagraniu z muzeum.

“Hello? Itadori-san?” Sukuna called out just in case either of the two was home. No response.
Sukuna shut the front door and walked to the coffee table, the nearest surface he could leave the package on. But just as he bent down to place the box on top of it, he heard a quiet sound nearby. Huh. Maybe someone was home after all.
He started walking in the direction of the sound, speeding up when he heard another quiet noise. They led him to a door that was slightly ajar. He raised his hand and did two quick knocks, pushing the door open further as he spoke, “You know, you really should lock your front…door.”

Megumi turned, and there he was again—grinning, towel slung around his neck, arms crossed over his broad chest like he hadn’t just spent an hour corralling chaos in the form of six-year-olds. “Kid’s got potential,” Sukuna added, then looked at Megumi. “You might have a pro on your hands one day.”
His throat went dry and Megumi did his best to muster up a smile. “Thanks. That means a lot coming from you.”
The older man shrugged one shoulder, casual. “So, you’ll be back for next practice?”
“We’ll be here,” Megumi said, a little too quickly. Tamaki was still glowing beside him, bouncing on the balls of his feet. “He loved it.”
“Good.” Sukuna’s gaze lingered for a second longer than necessary. “See you then.”
And just as he turned to walk away, Megumi noticed it. That pale strip of skin on Sukuna’s left ring finger.
A tan line. The ghost of a ring.
Oh…
Of course he was married.
